I’m a former podiatrist and when I saw the Arch Fit line was designed by podiatrists, I was intrigued. I’ve been suffering from plantar fasciitis in my right foot for a few months and it’s been debilitating and has prevented me from walking, golfing, and just getting around the house without hobbling.
I even consulted another podiatrist because everything I tried (icing, elevation, massage, NSAIDs, and OTC orthotics) failed to make a difference. I ordered these GOwalk sandals and I’m happy to say that the built-in arch support is very similar to a custom orthotic that helps keep my subtalar joint supinated and thus relieves the painful pull on my plantar fascia (sorry for the podiatrist speak).
If you have heel pain (and DON’T have flat feet), these might help you as much as they helped me. Today (after wearing them for two weeks), I was able to walk around the block without pain during the walk or after.
I’m going to order other styles available in the Arch FIt line.
