These shoes are great for work. I’m in and out of freezers and back rooms all day so the slip resistant is great if something is spilled. They’re comfortable all day, and they look great for whatever I may be doing day to day.

I work as a Guest Services Manager and I’m always on my feet. I’ve tried numerous brands over the years and I wasn’t sure about this pair because I bought them online, never held them in my hands, etc and I was a bit worried. Man, am I happy that I chose these shoes! They go great with the typical work uniform combo and if you decide to quickly dress business casual and put on some jeans and a button down shirt they go great too! No one will know it’s a pair of Sketchers that you’re wearing. 5 STARS!!!!

The Alcade appears to have higher sides in the back. I would recommend getting those. The Groton feels more like a slipper and the back heel is soft and does not hold the foot like the shoes I usually buy.

These shoes are the business when it comes down to fit and function. While these are the male versions of the same style (Nampa), I got these for myself because reviews complained that the female version was too small and cramped. Even though I’m a size 6-6.5 in Nike running shoes and almost everything else, the Size 7 fit my narrow, arched feet with no compromise. The comfort is just fine however, I plan to get my gel inserts anyway so no complaints here. As for non-slip and traction, it’s really debatable. I refuse to run through puddles or anywhere on the work floor with these on because the traction is very minimal. If that’s your main concern, get a different pair of non-slips. But if you want a great fit, decent style, easy to wipe clean and okay traction—these are your best bet.

I use a shoe horn to put shoes on, the only problem is the top of the shoe yesover the arch rolls under and you must put your finger between your sock and the top and pull it out, so the finished seam comes out and looks normal and is then comfortable.
